About Me
Welcome to my academic web site. It's my honor to present some about
my study in NIE.
My name is Bai Lu. Shaanxi Xi'an is my hometown. Now I am learning
English in bridging course in NIE. My course includes DLS AWS ALS ARS and OCS. Actually though all my course is academic,
they are quite fun I think. Through the efforts done by both my tutors and myself, I achieve a lot. By accomplishing the research, some
project like product idea, website building, I learned formatting and composing skills. During the bridging course, I
plan to improve my english to be able to communicate with local people fluently. At the same time, I'll try my best to review
my forgotten general knowledge about science and to choose the ideal major.
At leisure time, I devote myself into photography, literature, music
and architecture. Those are my interests. That's my life.
My favorites:
- Favorite computer:
IBM x60e
- Favorite country:
Italy
- Favorite local place: East
Coast Park
- Favorite musician:
Kurt Cobain
- Favorite course: DLS

What I have Learned in NIE?
Since the day I came to NIE, I think I achieved a lot at this beautiful
and fascinating institute. Through the AWS, ARS, ALS and OCS I learned the general knowledge of English. Especially the
writing and reading skills, I have primarily mastered these two kinds of capabilities. In the DLS class, I learned
essential use of some software, such as Word, Inspiration and PowerPoint. In addition, through the projects like Survey,
Product Idea and Building Website, I get more practiced. Moreover, through months of learning I have learned how to communicate
with the local Singaporeans which is definitely significant to my future development.
